The tables have turned! We’re taking a step back and opening the panel up to all of your questions. We know you’re used to us asking the hard hitting questions but now it’s your turn to get down to the knitty gritty! We have a line-up of women that dominate in their industry from finance to fashion, law to marketing. Bring your business specific questions to the table and get the real answers you’ve been seeking!
ALL OF YOUR FINANCIAL QUESTIONS ANSWERED We know how hard it is to navigate the financial waters when it comes to starting your own business. Should I get alone? How much should I save up before I start? How do I build credit for my business, and what resources are available to me as a woman owned business? We've put together a panel of three incredible women who have been there and done that…
We were sick and tired of the status quo mixers - "Hello, My Name Is..." tacky stickers purchased from Staples, awkwardly walking around a room until you find someone worthy of a shoe compliment in hopes of starting up a conversation. Nope, that wasn't our vibe. Ever since we came up with the idea for Dames Collective, we have worked so hard to cultivate the perfect environment for fellow women entrepreneurs to thrive. Since our Morning MindFUEL events are geared toward learning, our Dames After Hours events are where our members and attendees let loose. This is for the entrepreneur, side hustler or the gal that just needs some more girlfriends that get shit done! Join us at a different woman owned shop/boutique each month, engage in a unique networking activity, have some drinks, mingle and shop the store with an exclusive Dames discount!
It might be a man’s world but it ain’t nothing without a woman or a girl! Etta James got it right and we’re ready to talk about it. Do you own a business or work in a male dominated industry? Do you find that it might be hard to be taken seriously because you are a woman? What about a communication block? We’re chatting with our panelists that have all been there, done that and conquered it! We’ll learn best practices, how to handle the diversity and how to make sure you are being treated as an equal.
We understand that when you start your own business it kind of takes over your life. Even if your computer is shut and your phone is on silent, your brain never stops working. You’re building an empire, we get it. But at some point there becomes this blurred line between your business and the rest of your life. How do you separate it? How do you build a business that is successful and kick ass running it while still having time for your family, friends and hobbies? We will be picking the brains of a few boss babes who successfully separate church and state and aren’t apologizing for it. Learn how to be present in each moment so that you can give your all to all important things or people in your life.
You can pretty much find advice on what to do for your business anywhere and while it is always sought after and definitely helpful, what about all the advice on what NOT to do? The mistakes, the fuck ups or the bad decisions? Let’s be clear, we aren’t looking for a short cut or a way to cheat the whole journey but maybe some tidbits that just make our lives a little bit easier. We know that every parent has the “learn from my mistakes” lesson in their back pocket so it’s only natural that we get the same talk from a few of our community’s most influential female business owners.
Sometimes you just need a break from being a BOSS and want a night out with your girls! We’re hosting the ultimate girls night out so you don’t have to worry about the details. Fashion show kicks off at 7pm and features all your favorite local female designers and women owned boutiques. Reserve your seat for a walk through a day in the life of a woman featuring looks from lounge wear to that perfect LBD.
BRANDING Defining your brand is the basis to building and growing a business. As an entrepreneur, we’ve gotten so good at second guessing ourselves that we may as well add it to our list of skills, and this is most common when it comes to developing a brand. From a business name to color schemes, down to the voice we use, how do we decide what to do first and once we have, how do we grow that brand?
So you have this business - you offer a great product or service, your instagram feed is solid, your branding is on point, but your biggest obstacle is getting clients or talking about money. Don't worry! You're not alone. Some say the most difficult part about owning your own business is selling your products and most importantly, selling yourself. At this month's Morning MindFUEL we have put together a ...

Maria, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Pure began out of pure necessity. I realized that downtown San Diego lacked a spin studio. I also started Pure because I experienced a premature health scare while working at my previous job at a start-up company in New York City. After reevaluating my life and career, and relocating to sunny San Diego, I decided to build an experience based on my philosophies that now pour into every class at Pure.
