Dames Collective Chapter: Detroit

Business Mentor and Entreprenuer, Host of Fearlessly You Podcast, and Owner of Detroit Mobile Bar

1. What is the name of your business and can you tell us a little bit more about it?

I am a business mentor and Detroit entrepreneur. I host the Fearlessly You podcast, coach within my Soul Sister Community, and I have a LIVE event on May 11 called the Fearlessly You Experience. I help women go from dreamer to doer. To wake up to their true selves and live fearlessly in all aspects of their lives. I also have a Real Estate business with my husband and co-founded Detroit Mobile Bar.

2. What has been your biggest win as an entrepreneur thus far?

Truly going for my soul's purpose and leaning ALL IN. I had spent a large portion of my life chasing what I thought would be "my thing" and it wasn't until I truly stopped and allowed myself to listen in, that I was able to hear my soul's calling loud and clear. When you know what you're truly made for and finally evolve from dreamer to doer, the rest simply falls into place.

3. Where do you find daily motivation and inspiration?

In the quiet. Don't get me wrong, I have a business coach of my own and I love all of the podcasts, books, etc, but it's in the quiet where the true inspiration comes. Everything you need is within you -- we just need to stop to listen.

4. What is the best piece of advice you have received and who was it from?

When I was a little girl my Dad gave me the book Think and Grow Rich and on the inside cover he wrote a note that ends with, "See page 14!" On that page it reads, "Whatever the mind of a man can conceive and believe it can achieve." I go back to those words often because it reminds me that my only limitation is my own imagination. When I fully believe in myself anything is possible.

5. What is your morning routine?

On a good day, not every day for this mama, but on a good day... I wake up at 5AM for a 5:30 class, and then by the time I get home I have about 30 minutes of what I like to call my "sacred time." This is where I sit in silence, pray, meditate, read, whatever my soul is calling for that day. These are always my favorite mornings and I find that the remainder of the day is always so much smoother, focused, and peaceful.

6. What is your favorite podcast?

I love so many, but my favorite is Lori Harder's Earn Your Happy.

7. Something that most people wouldn’t know about you:

I am a secret introvert. As a former actor, and now speaker and mentor, I think most people would assume that I am very extroverted. Secretly I love being by myself. I was dreaming of a solo-vaca for years and recently took one. It was absolutely life changing.

8. If you could go back to when you started your company what would you say to yourself?

Trust. Trust that everything you need already exists within you. Truly, I still say this to myself on the daily, but we all need that constant reminder that we are enough. Trust, trust, trust.
