1. What is the name of your business and can you tell us a little bit more about it?
1 Girl Revolution. 1 Girl Revolution is a social platform that highlights the stories of everyday women who are changing the world through their lives — everyday women who are making a difference in the world.
Our motto is:
Every woman has a story. Every woman has a voice. Every woman has the power to change the world through her life. Every woman is a 1 Girl Revolution!
2. What has been your biggest win as an entrepreneur thus far?
Surviving. (joking, sort of. haha.)
I have been working numerous jobs to pay my bills and get this project off the ground, and one of my biggest wins is persevering and powering through - even in the difficult moments. 1 Girl Revolution launched on January 3rd, and the hustle continues... but I'm loving it!
3. Where do you find daily motivation and inspiration?
I find motivation in other women I see around me, who are striving for greatness and who are striving to change the world through their lives. In a world that is often so dark and divisive, I see so much light and hope in the women around me!
4. What is the best piece of advice you have received and who was it from?
A dear friend of mine once told me, "The journey is just as important as the destination." This is something that has stuck with me and really helped me in the moments where things seem to be going wrong, or things are difficult. These are the moments that will take me to the destination and make me appreciate the destination even more. Our journey matters just as much as the destination - if not more.
5. What is your morning routine?
First, I wash my face and brush my teeth - I can't focus on anything before I do that.
I usually get up and start brewing coffee, while reading the news and catching on social media - and then looking at my schedule/to-do list for the day.

7. Something that most people wouldn’t know about you:
I've gone through some incredibly difficult things in my life, but most people don't know - because I was raised to never see myself as a victim and to rise above any hardship. We all have our difficulties and our struggles in our lives, but I've come to see those as some of the most beautiful parts of life - or the parts of life that can bring the most beauty. Leonard Cohen has this great quote, "There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in." We all have our cracks, but it's the cracks that allow the light to come in.
8. If you could go back to when you started your company what would you say to yourself?
I literally just started it, so I don't know that I've gained much wisdom since then. But I would tell myself to "breathe" and "it's all going to work out - and it's going to be better than you ever dreamed!" Because I feel that, even though I'm still in the beginning stages.
