1. What is the name of your business and can you tell us a little bit more about it?
I recently founded The Heart and Hustle Co. A company that thrives on helping women in sales and business hit their highest potential (and pay check). I am a Career Strategist and Business Coach based out of San Diego with clients nationwide. I work with everyone from medical device sales reps, entrepreneurs, to tenured business owners. I specialize in helping grow profit and revenues while expanding the footprint of business. Previously, I was the Senior Director of National Sales and Corporate Strategy for a multi-billion dollar start up.
2. What has been your biggest win as an entrepreneur thus far?
I had a client who was on the verge of either losing her small brick and mortar business and after doing an extensive evaluation of her company and business operations I was able to identify a cost savings of $42k a year. With her commitment to my program and her business she is thriving and her profit margins have increased significantly.
3. Where do you find daily motivation and inspiration?
Throughout my whole life it's always been my mom and to this day I still look up to her so much. But this past year I gave birth to my twins and they light a fire within me to be an example of everything and more I wish for them to achieve.
4. What is the best piece of advice you have received and who was it from?
Do something every day that scares you.
I had an Executive Coach two years ago who said this in our weekly call and ever since then I've tried to incorporate it into my day. Whether it be prospecting a big client, trying something new or committing to something that I'm not sure I'm ready for. It has widened my comfort zone tremendously. I now challenge my clients to do the same.
5. What is your morning routine?
Before having twins I was up at 3:45 every day. Times have changed! LOL
5:15 Wake up
5:16 Coffee :)
I always check top news stories, my emails, and then write down my top priorities for the day.
Quick get ready before my kids wake up.
It's extremely important to me that I spend most mornings with my kids. My nanny comes after they've had breakfast and I've been able to get them ready for the day. It's our special time together.
6. Favorite podcast?
Rise with Rachel Hollis or Goaldigger by Jenna Kutcher.
7. Something that most people wouldn’t know about you:
I am an IVF advocate. I spent 4-1/2 years trying to get pregnant and 6 rounds of IVF. I now help other women who are going through the same struggle keep faith in the process. I am incredibly passionate about being a support system and I am an open book when it comes to our story.
8. If you could go back to when you started your company what would you say to yourself?
Don't wait until it's perfect to launch it and stop stressing about social media.
